7-day creative journey in art & nature near Tromsø, Northern norway
Silence has a presence.
In a natural environment, away from constant input, perception begins to shift. Attention softens. The senses open. Nothing is imposed. Nothing needs to be achieved.
The body becomes the entry point and movement, rest, and observation unfold in their own time. There is no fixed structure, only a quiet rhythm shaped by place, light and conditions. Creativity is not something to produce; it appears through contact with material, environment and what is already here. A space is held with clarity and restraint.

The retreat takes place at 3ART Recreation guest house on Kvaløya, Northern Norway — approximately one hour from Tromsø.
A private 118-hectare landscape of mountains, forest, and sea.
Remote. Quiet. Fully immersed in nature.
A lived-in house — not a hotel.
Shared spaces, studio, piano, terraces, and open working areas.
OUR HOME
The house hosts up to 8 guests across 6 bedrooms, offering both privacy and shared experience.
Inside, you’ll find:
a spacious living room with an open kitchen and dining area
a creative studio
a wellbeing room for meditation, bodywork, and massages
two shared bathrooms
Outside, three terraces open into the landscape inviting you to slow down and simply be.
Guests often say the same thing: it feels like home.
Every detail in the house is thoughtfully curated — warm, artistic, and alive.
-
Our days follow a natural rhythm : a balance between movement, creativity, rest, and connection.
The program is designed in a flow-based way — nothing is forced.
You are always free to choose what you need, moment by moment.
Each day includes:
body practices
mountain or nature walks
creative sessions
shared meals
evening circles
We offer more than you must do so you can truly listen to yourself.
A slow arrival into the body and the surrounding landscape. Days unfold through guided experiences in nature, where movement, breath, and attention gradually settle. Creative sessions emerge, supported by time in studio and outdoors. Between activities, there is space for rest, silence, sauna, and cold water immersion. The rhythm is simple and responsive, allowing perception to deepen and the nervous system to soften over time.

What to Expect
-
Mountain walks with Otto
Otto is a passionate mountain explorer who loves discovering both known and hidden paths.
You will explore parts of our 118-hectare land, including a mountain rising to 720 m, as well as nearby rivers and a waterfall.
We will also take a special trip to Sommarøy, combining travel with a scenic mountain hike.
Forest walks with Signe
Slow, quiet, and sensory — closer to forest bathing than hiking.
We move at about 1 km per hour, allowing space for presence and stillness.
Beach walks
Simple, grounding walks by the sea — to breathe, reset, and reconnect.
Midnight sun hike
A special night walk to the waterfall under the midnight sun — a unique Arctic experience.
-
Creative sessions with Signe & Estere
Using natural materials, intuitive drawing, and creative experimentation.
These sessions are about exploration, not perfection — open to everyone.
Body practices with Gabi
Gabi is a massage therapist and bodywork practitioner.
Her sessions include breathwork, movement, gentle activation, and presence-based practices.
All activities are accessible — no prior experience is needed.
-
Taste is one of the six senses — and we honour it deeply.
Food is an essential part of the retreat experience.
We cook at home using seasonal, local ingredients many grown or foraged from our land together with carefully selected high-quality products. Prepared with care and simplicity, with the aesthetics of a restaurant, but grounded in a real kitchen.
Our approach is simple: real food that nourishes, satisfies, and gives lasting energy. No strict rules, just food that feels good in the body.
Expect:
nourishing main dishes
homemade snacks
herbal teas
fresh juices
home-baked bread
seasonal Nordic ingredients
Shared meals are an important part of the retreat — a time to gather, slow down, and connect.
Living in the North shapes this approach. Food here has always been about warmth, strength, and what the land and sea can provide.
OVERVIEWSlow down. Be present. Return to what matters.
