Our Story

3ART Recreation is a small, family-run place in Northern Norway, shaped by nature, art, and human presence.

On Kvaløya, between mountains, forest, and sea, it is developing as a living environment not a fixed concept, but a way of life.

We are building an ecological farm and a therapeutic garden, alongside creative work, workshops, and small-scale retreats.

A small community of like-minded people gathers here with a shared intention to live more simply and more closely connected to nature and each other.

Nature is not a backdrop, but the foundation including land, animals, and seasonal rhythms, approached with care and respect.

3ART is both a home and a long-term vision — a place for rest, creation, and reconnection.

who we are

  • Otto

    SON (FOUNDER)

    Otto is a landscape architect and land steward, usually somewhere outside with a brushcutter in hand, moving between agriculture, ecology, and sustainable systems. His vision is still to develop a working farm and a place for practice-based creative workshops. In his free time, he bakes bread and skis in the mountains.

  • Signe

    MOM (SALES MANAGER)

    Signe is a storyteller, painter, and creator — and the one who holds much of the everyday rhythm: making beds, welcoming guests, and keeping the atmosphere alive. Between all that, she works with gardens, writes, paints, and occasionally disappears into cold water or forests.

  • Estere

    DIL (MARKETING MANAGER)

    Estere brings visual identity into the place through photography, textiles, and spatial styling, often moving quietly through rooms with a cloth in her hand, creating warmth, beauty, and a sense of home. She loves traveling, discovering new places, and noticing small details others often miss.

  • Sofija

    DAUGHTER (GRAPHIC DESIGNER)

    Sofija is a graphic designer and visual thinker, currently based in Berlin, who observes the place with a calm and thoughtful eye from a distance. She supports the visual identity and visual language of the project, and is a devoted book and cat lover.

  • Dante

    BIG BOSS

    Dante is the true host of the place, and we all, in a way, work for him. In daily life, he is extremely busy overseeing everything, greeting guests, and making sure things are as they should be. His hobbies include catching mice and sleeping.
